Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to strip wallpaper? A: Yes this would need to be done before work is carried out. This is so we can assess the condition of the wall, also to ensure good adhesion.
Q: What can I do to prepare the room? A: Remove all furniture if possible, although we always protect furniture, carpets etc. We feel it is very important to leave a property as clean and tidy as possible.
Q: My plasterboard wall has some damage to it, does it all need replacing? A: No, it can be cut out and patched, although for a better finish we would advise the wall to be re skimmed.
Q: My ceiling is artexed and I want a smooth finish, would I need to remove it all? A: No we can skim over artex to create a smooth finish, although this does require more coats than usual.
Q: My walls are cracked do they need completely re skimming? A: ideally yes, although they can be just filled, but the finish won’t be as good as a re skim. It would normally be more cost effective to re skim, as to refill would involve more work to create a satisfactory finish.
